This Privacy Policy explains how SereneArc LLC ("SereneArc," "we," "us," or "our"), operator of the Zzzon mobile application, collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially because Zzzon is a sleep and wellness app where you may share sensitive information about your emotional and mental state.
By using Zzzon, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account and use Zzzon, we may collect:

Account Information: Name (optional), email address, or Apple ID

Username: Your chosen display name

ZzzLog Entries: Journal content including emotion states, reflection text, and timestamps — stored privately, linked to your account

Challenge Responses: Your answers to challenge questions and ratings (thumbs up/down)

Feedback: Written feedback you submit about challenges or the app

Survey Responses: Optional onboarding survey answers about your sleep situation
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect:

Usage Data: Challenges started, completed, and exited; time spent in app; categories accessed

Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app version

Analytics Events: Key in-app actions (challenge starts, completions, exits, journal entries, purchases)

Crash Reports: Error logs to help us fix bugs
We do not collect sleep tracking data, location data, microphone audio, or contacts.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies.
1.3 Payment Information
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. SereneArc LLC does not collect or store payment card details. We receive limited transaction data (subscription tier and status) from RevenueCat and Apple to manage your premium access.
1.4 Sensitive Information
Zzzon may collect information that could be considered sensitive, including emotional states you record in ZzzLogs. We treat this information with particular care. Zzzon does not process emotional or journal data for diagnostic, profiling, or health assessment purposes. ZzzLog content is not used for analytics, profiling, or product decision-making. Other non-content usage data (such as challenge sessions, interactions, and feedback) may be analyzed to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:

We do not use your ZzzLog content or challenge responses for advertising. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we process your data under these legal bases:

4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 Third-Party Service Providers
SereneArc LLC shares your information with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

Apple: Authentication (Apple Sign In) and App Store payment processing

RevenueCat: Subscription state management and purchase verification

Firebase (Google): Cloud database, analytics, and crash reporting
We have data processing agreements or equivalent contractual safeguards in place with our service providers where required by applicable law, including under GDPR. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide services to SereneArc LLC.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or your safety or the safety of others.
4.3 Business Transfers
If SereneArc LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you if this occurs and your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service:

Account data: Retained until you delete your account

ZzzLog entries: Retained until you delete them or your account; deletion is permanent and not reversible

Challenge history and points: Retained while your account is active

Analytics and usage activity data: Retained while linked to your account as needed to operate and improve the Service, and retained in aggregated or anonymized form for up to 24 months

Crash logs: Retained for up to 12 months
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for service improvement purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Correction
You can update account information (such as username) through App settings. For other data access requests, contact us at privacy@zzzonapp.com.
6.2 Deletion
Delete individual ZzzLog entries through the App. To delete your account and all associated personal data, use the account deletion option in Settings. We will process requests within 30 days. Note that ZzzLog deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6.3 GDPR Rights (EEA/UK Users)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccuracies; request erasure; object to or restrict certain processing; receive data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based. Submit requests to privacy@zzzonapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6.4 California Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to: know what personal data we collect and how we use it; request deletion of personal data; opt out of the sale of personal data (note: SereneArc LLC does not sell personal data); and non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit requests to privacy@zzzonapp.com.
7. Children's Privacy
Zzzon is not directed to children under 13. SereneArc LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, contact us immediately at privacy@zzzonapp.com.
8. Data Security
SereneArc LLC implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

9. International Data Transfers
SereneArc LLC is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. For EEA/UK users, we ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws, including through standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.
10. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics) and internal systems to understand how users interact with Zzzon, including challenge usage, session outcomes, and feedback.
This analysis may include both aggregated and user-level activity data for the purpose of improving product design, debugging issues, and enhancing user experience.
Firebase Crashlytics helps us identify and fix app crashes. Google's use of Firebase data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling for marketing purposes, or cross-app tracking.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
SereneArc LLC may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date and Last Updated date above and providing an in-app notification. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
